"Monster Ride" | Interface Design: Prototype

Summary:


This prototype plaything/game was a breakthrough moment for me using Actionscript 3.0 in Flash CS5.5. I had a great deal of fun with this project. Using my past influences of Ed Roth's character design and incorporating it with my love of t-shirts, hot-rods, and animation. My new found scripting tool will prove to be an invaluable asset in artist's tool box.

Old Navy : "Guess The Number" Interface Design

Summary:

Another fun project that furthered my knowledge of Actionscript while utilizing my love of design. The development of the logical interface steps and the win or lose windows was a great process of bridging the conceptual gap of instinctual logical progression and the act of play.

Character Design For Games:

Summary:

The development of this character first occurred in Photoshop and I was influenced by the animation students I encountered at Sheridan College. It was modeled and rendered in 3ds Max 2012. Light and texture maps where made in Mudbox, UV mapping in 3Ds Max. After Effects was used in the composting of the final turntable.

Game Level Design, Outdoor Environment:

Summary:

Final exterior game level design walk through. In this case, the level serves as the opening of a game or level one. Here the character is encouraged to explore, train, and discover items that will help them in later levels and more developed game play action. Lighting, mood, and scale where areas of concentration and concern.

"Fallout Shelter"

Summary:

The interior design and walk-through was my first attempt at game level design. Here I utilized 3Ds Max 2012 for all 3D elements and then exported them into the UDK game engine. Textures where produced in Photoshop. I was particularly pleased with the hazard sign and panel it sits on. With some visual 'trickery' I was able create this on a polygonal plane consisting of only a single CV point.
